St. Simons Island is known for its rich history and beautiful culture. It is one of four barrier islands off the coast of Georgia. The barrier islands include; Little St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, and St. Simons Island. Each area attracts unique visitors each year, however, everyone leaves wanting to return. From the miles of sands or the endless amount of nature trails, St. Simons Island has something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

The town is known for its history which can be found all over the island and in several of the museums around town. The unique selection of shops is only a small addition compared to the breathtaking views of the beaches. You can find handmade goods at any of the local shops, as well as some of the best, most fresh seafood on the east coast. Visit the family-owned restaurants that have been passed down for generations with family recipes No matter where you decided to grab a bite to eat, you will not be disappointed.

St. Simons Island is the perfect place for those who love the outdoors. From beach activities like kayaking, kite-boarding, swimming, and many other water activities, to nature walks and hikes, the opportunities are endless. Grab some fresh air as you explore the town hunting down the Tree Spirits, or just taking in all of the beautiful scenery and natural wildlife. 

St. Simons Island also welcomes furry friends. We understand that they are part of the family too, and they deserve to be included. This is why there are several dog-friendly beaches and parks that you can visit while on the island.  From frisbee at Frederica park, or jumping through the waves on East Beach, your pup is sure to have a great time, and so are you.
